Angel, Debra, and Quinn are called into Maria LaGuerta's office to talk about an upcoming operation to apprehend the Fuentes Brothers at Club Mayan. With help from Yasmin Aragon, an informant, the plan is to arrest the brothers before they enter the club. Debra and Angel will wait outside in a van while Quinn, Maria, and Officer Cira Manzon will be inside. Before leaving, Captain Thomas Matthews warns Maria that her future depends on this plan working smoothly.
Yasmin is wired and instructed to engage the Fuentes Brothers. Once inside the club, she notices they are already there, sitting at a VIP table. She tells the cops that there is a private entrance from the club next door. Maria orders Yasmin to sit with the brothers.
As Jax and the club begin to connect the dots on the series of home invasions, all signs point to an inside job. Meanwhile, Jax is forced to clean up one of his mother's messes. Clay uses Juice and Unser to tie up some loose ends. Jax's trust in Pope is even more strained when two black gang members attack him and Chibs. Tara gives Gemma one more chance to be in her children's lives, which quickly turns sour.
Gemma wakes up next to her one-night stand. She goes to the bathroom and sobs. Tara looks over Otto Delaney's files. Abel sleeps next to her, clutching his Mr. Toad doll. Jax and Bobby find Unser camped out at Unser's scrap yard. He sold his land to the county to pay for his medical bills. He's providing security. Jax asks what Unser has on the home invasions. He has a cork board of suspects and info on the case inside. Jax wants to know who Unser is looking at within the club. Unser points out the burglars barely took anything, just beat people up to send a message. He's sure it wasn't black who jumped him.
\"Who has something to gain by making the club look weak Turning the town and the sheriffs against them Suddenly the pretty guy they gave the gavel to, he don't look that smart,\" Unser says. He rhetorically asks who's new. The Nomads. Jax suggests Unser pay them a visit and feel them out, he'll deal with Clay. Gemma comes out of the bathroom and finds her purse emptied out. Her wallet and keys are gone. She comes outside and sees her bed buddy driving off in her Escalade.
Nero gets a call. His guys found the Escalade and the guy who stole it. Clay surprises Tara going through old club files on Otto. She ignores him. \"We're going to have to say something to each other sooner or later,\" he says. \"No we won't,\" she says. \"Jax should have killed me, I'm living on borrowed time,\" he says. \"You're not on borrowed time. To me you're already dead. Stay away,\" she says. Waiting in the hall, Juice hears. He asks Clay what he did to her. \"Same thing I always do,\" he says.
At the club, Bobby tells Jax about Unser spotting the scratches on GoGo. As they make plans to look into it, Gemma and the guys come in to break the news about Greg and GoGo. Juice puts things together. Jax explains Unser was looking into the home invasions. They want to find Frankie to get the truth.Gemma visits Unser at the yard. Frankie watches the police from across the street and drives off.
Juice drops by Clay's to ask if he killed Greg and GoGo. He tells Juice they're working for someone else and Juice insists he tell the club. As bikes roll up outside, Clay says he thinks they already know. Chibs and Jax drop by. Jax talks to Clay alone, laying out that Clay is behind the home invasions. Clay insists it's Pope. Jax suggests they find Frankie and take it to the Club. \"Let SAMCRO decide who lives and who dies,\" Jax says.
The scene returns to modern day Prague. Mia can ask: You killed your love... How did you handle it (He says poorly and that he thought he would go insane and maybe he has.) - or - Why did the process fail (He says he is not sure but he assumes it's because he was newly turned or maybe he was carried away and drunk too much blood.) Caspar tells Mia that he just wanted to save her from the epidemic but instead he killed her. In his pain, he killed his mentor. Then for a while he simply existed, without being interested in anything. A few years later, he became part of the Ashe clan. But then one day at the vampire club he saw someone performing Valerie's favourite Paganini piece, the Caprice no. 24 in A minor. She did not look like Valerie yet he could not control himself.
Note: Based on some of your choices in previous episodes, Mia might meet Sofia while she is at the shopping mall or directly at the New Life nightclub (if Victor is alive) or at the Taste of the Night nightclub (if Victor is dead). Their dialogue will be slightly different if Victor is dead or still alive, or still alive and in a relationship with Mia. Their dialogue will also be different if at the end of the previous episode you chose for Mia to say that she had enough of the vampires and werewolves [Sofia asks her how comes they haven't seen her in a while and she responds that she is trying to live an ordinary life] or if you chose for her to rebuild the Order [a banner will say that Mia regularly speaks with the vampires asking for new converts that might have had a similar transformation as hers so that she can recruit them into the Order: in this case, Sofia will still say that they haven't seen her in a while but Mia will just say she's been busy with college]. Also: It does not matter what Mia chooses to drink.
Also: Mia and Sofia's dialogue in this scene will be different based on all your choices in the course of the story, for example whether Mia helped Walter returning to the Supernatural Daily or not; whether things are going well or not at the magazine based on the fact that Trevor and/or Simon died, whether she will stay at that magazine (if she got her promotion) or she will change jobs and go to work for Epoch magazine (if she did not get her promotion); what happened to Monica based on the fact that she took part in the fight or not (if she did, she moved to Norway after being pardoned, if she didn't Mia just observe how Monica and Grace usually are there often but apparently not that day), how no one has seen Edgar and/or how he was not judged for serving Ethan (if he survived the fight, otherwise she does not mention him), she might mention Stella if she had shown up for the battle (and say that she got exiled for killing/or/nearly killing Simon), how Gilbert (if he survived) shows up at the club occasionally because he got off easy feeling no remorse, how is Patrick (regardless if Mia gave his name to the werewolves in Season 4, Episode 7 or not, Sofia says he is good) - and so on. There are too many variables to list them all, so please be advised that your dialogue might have/not have different details from those that have been listed here.
Brock decides to go back to The Venture Compound to get costumes that he's collected over the years from villains he has defeated or slain. They must disguise themselves in order to infiltrate the club to rescue Ghost Robot. Snoop also creates fake Guild identities for them. While getting the costumes, Sergeant Hatred walks in on them along with Dr. Venture, who believes that they are going to a costume party without him.
One evening, Retsuko and Haida are returning from the store. As the bags are heavy, Haida complains that the bags handles are like cutting his fingers. Retsuko states it would be nice for them to have a car and guesses that once Haida gets a full-job, they may move to a place with parking. A van then stops and they kidnap Retsuko. As she sees Manaka and Hyoudou, Retsuko wonders why they kidnapped her and Hyoudou explains that a friend asked them for a favor. They take her to the club, where Ikari hypes the crowd and explains that Retsuko is coming out. Manaka then drags Retsuko to the stage and leaves her there. The crowd is excited to see her and Ikari explains that Retsuko's upcoming tour is a four-year term in politics. The fans are surprised, but they keep on cheering for her. Meanwhile, Haida is following her phone and is almost at the club as well. Ikari tells Retsuko to accept her destiny and that they gathered this crowd in just two days. He asks her to be the voice of the people who had put their trust in her and to scream for all of Japan. Haida enters the club, but in that moment Retsuko had taken the mic and starts raging. Hyoudou and Manaka know that Retsuko is a people-pleaser and all they had to do is give her a little push. Ikari tells the fans that they are witnessing the birth of a new political legend.
And then there's the Chang plot. In the words of Buzz Hickey's hacky duck: \"What the hell\" It's a hilarious runner that has nothing to do with anything else in the episode, and probably the best Chang solo plot since the initial inklings of campus takeover in the third season. The Bear Dance plot found a way for Ken Jeong to mesh with other members of the cast, but this story has him in a quick comedic arc all his own. The idea that he accidentally stumbles upon a black box theater audience rapt with attention to his impromptu one-man show is a great setup. The janitor is a nice complication, and then the audience and janitor dialogue through Chang over which are the ghosts takes the arc to the surreal limit for the show. The Shining and Sixth Sense twists in the final scene are a bit obvious, but they're still fun, especially the final gag about the club picture Chang appears in.
At the club, Holly is trying to seduce Luke again, telling him that Marissa isn't even here. Seth, Summer, Ryan and Marissa arrive and begin drinking. Holly and Luke are dancing together and making out, and Marissa arrives just in time to see them. Luke tries to go after Marissa and Ryan punches him and runs out, and the three of them leave to find Marissa. Summer finds her crying back at the hotel room and comforts her. Marissa sobs that she can't go home and that she has no one. Summer goes to grab her stuff and Marissa sees the bottle of painkillers Summer bought for her stepmother in her bag.
